Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a skilled thoracic oncologic surgeon to join its dynamic cancer program in Minneapolis. This role involves providing advanced surgical care and performing a variety of thoracic procedures, including minimally invasive surgeries.

Applicants should hold a Doctoral/Ph.D. degree in medicine and have completed a residency in Thoracic Surgery. A commitment to collaboration in a collegial team environment is essential, along with relevant licenses and certifications.

Qualifications

• Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine or equivalent.
• Completion of ACGME or AOA accredited Residency in Thoracic Surgery.
• Completion of Thoracic Oncology Fellowship preferred.
• 2+ years of trained thoracic or cardiothoracic surgeon with emphasis in thoracic malignancy preferred.
• 2+ years of robotic surgical skills preferred.
• Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery required upon hire.
• Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate required upon hire.
• ACLS/BLS Tier 2 required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced surgical care for thoracic oncology patients.
• Perform a broad range of thoracic procedures including minimally invasive surgery.
• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards.
