Job summary

Thompson Savannah is seeking a restaurant server who embodies the luxury lifestyle experience. The ideal team member will create unique experiences, share hospitality with a sharp sense of humor, and deliver superlative service in a spontaneous, authentic atmosphere.

You will engage guests, know the menu and promotions, input orders accurately, and ensure guest satisfaction from seating to completion of service, while upholding company standards and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials
• Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system
• Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations
• Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions
• Properly and accurately close guest checks
• Process cash and credit card payments
• Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations
• Set tables according to type of event and service standards.
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
• All other duties as assigned by leadership
