Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing supervision.
• Strong project management/supervision skills in a team-based environment.
• Strong manufacturing background; able to understand and develop product specifications.
• Results-driven with demonstrated ability in a high-performance manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in manufacturing management.
• Good attention to detail but able to manage the big picture and a 'make the numbers' mentality.
• Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks daily.
• Ability to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvement.
• Critical thinker with excellent analytical abilities.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong planning, leadership, and administrative skills.
• High energy, urgency and fast pace.
• Solid understanding of business principles to manage manufacturing for bottom-line results.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision over hourly associates and coordination with various departments.
• Plan work and production for the shift; ensure materials and machine availability.
• Observe safety practices; reduce scrap, usage and downtime.
• Evaluate process and performance; make recommendations.
• Maintain production schedules; coordinate equipment maintenance.
• Record attendance, absences and overtime; handle first-step grievances.
• Ensure manpower and equipment are on hand to produce high-quality products efficiently.
• Monitor machinery safeguards and controls during production.
• Perform other tasks as requested by management.
