Newly Weds Foods provides premium ingredients to some of the biggest brand names in the country. Our Watertown plant produces batter and breading food coatings. We are currently looking for a Third Shift supervisor to run our Breading Department producing very fine bread crumbs, also known industry-wide as cracker meal. ***Position needed for 3rd shift***

  • Works under the direction of the Production Manager as a staff team member responsible for maintaining department production activities, processes, procedures, and employees to meet production schedules.
  • Collaborates closely with lead personnel and other departments on ingredient issues.
  • Plans department activities after review with the Production Manager to coordinate with production schedules and needs.
  • Works closely with other Supervisors and Managers as needed.
  • Supports and leads by example; flexible to meet business needs.
  • Ensures department meets customer specifications and schedules.
  • Identifies root causes of problems, consults with management, and implements corrective actions.
  • Coordinates with QA through the Production Manager on production issues.
  • Displays superior knowledge of ingredients and processes; professional, customer-focused, results-oriented; capable of multi-tasking and adding value to the team.
  • Forklift certified—able to operate both stand-up and sit-down units.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as needed; may fill in for the production manager in their absence under the plant manager's direction.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma; some college or advanced courses preferred. Minimum five (5) years of hands-on experience in production or related field. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proven record of adherence to quality, safety, and attendance policies. Knowledge of OSHA, company policies, and manufacturing/QA processes.
  • Must pass required supervisory testing; demonstrate leadership skills such as coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution.
  • Professional communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in MS Office, AS400, and Lotus Notes.
Compensation: $65,000 - $95,000
