Job summary

California Closets Grand Rapids is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic & Technician for the third shift to perform daily maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair heavy wood processing equipment. The role requires hands-on experience with CNC-style machinery and a strong focus on safety and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, coordinating repairs, and maintaining maintenance records.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance roles with heavy CNC-style machinery.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and read manuals/blueprints.
• Follow PPE requirements and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair heavy wood processing equipment including Homag Saws and CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot issues to determine repairs and coordinate with team.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures for equipment and building systems.
• Maintain tools, storage, and maintenance records.
• Ensure facility compliance with local building and fire codes.
