California Closets Fulfillment/XMC in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic & Technician for the third shift to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy CNC machinery and building systems, ensuring safe, productive operations. This role requires 5+ years with CNC equipment, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read manuals and blueprints, use hand and power tools, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in heavy maintenance with CNC machinery.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• PPE compliance required.
• Able to climb ladders and work in elevated spaces.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform related duties.
• Visual acuity for reading instructions and operating machines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect heavy wood processing equipment (Homag CNC, CNC machines) and troubleshoot repairs.
• Notify personnel about issues affecting production quality and schedules.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures for equipment and building systems.
• Maintain tools and equipment with proper storage and maintenance.
• Ensure facility compliance with local building and fire codes.
• Set up and maintain maintenance records and project files.
• Requisition parts and materials needed for machinery and facility.
