Job summary

sefl in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Inbound Freight Handler to load and unload freight, prepare trailers, and use forklifts and other equipment safely. You will ensure proper weight distribution, document conditions, and review freight bills and hazardous materials paperwork.

A high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass background checks and drug tests are preferred. Experience as a forklift operator, dock, warehouse, or material handler plus forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to pass background check and alcohol/drug test.
• Experience as Forklift Operator, Dock or Warehouse Worker, or Material Handler preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight onto and off equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers before loading freight.
• Use proper lifting techniques and equipment to move freight safely.
• Weigh and dimension shipments and plan cube utilization and weight distribution.
