Job summary

Knowles is hiring a Cleanroom Operator to execute manufacturing processes in a semi-automated system, rotating through multiple workstations in a controlled cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate will bring prior cleanroom experience, excellent manual dexterity, and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and precision.

Responsibilities include operating at various stations, following SOPs, documenting data, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a cleanroom environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles, practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for email, training and document access.
  • Cleanroom gowning and safety practices required.
  • Must be able to work overtime as requested.
  • Work in line with minimal supervision.

  • Operate across cleanroom workstations to support production.
  • Follow SOPs and safety standards to maintain product integrity.
  • Monitor equipment and report irregularities promptly.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of workstations and tools.
  • Document production data and adhere to quality control procedures.
  • Collaborate with team to meet production goals and resolve issues.
  • Lift and maneuver up to 15 pounds safely.
  • Read and interpret procedures and technical documentation.
  • Report mechanical issues and participate in basic maintenance.
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols.

Job Description

Job Overview:

The Cleanroom Operator is responsible for executing manufacturing processes within a semi-automated system, rotating through multiple workstations in a controlled cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate will bring prior cleanroom experience, excellent manual dexterity, and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and precision.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate across various cleanroom workstations to support different stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Follow established protocols and safety standards to maintain product integrity and a sterile environment.
  • Monitor equipment and report any irregularities or malfunctions promptly.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of workstations and tools.
  • Accurately document production data and adhere to quality control procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and resolve workflow issues
  • Lift and maneuver metal bars and components weighing up to X safely and efficiently.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure product integrity.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Identify and report mechanical issues with equipment; perform basic maintenance and elevate as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and issue resolution.
  • Demonstrate reliability by consistently following instructions, meeting deadlines, and taking ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a cleanroom environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of manufacturing principles practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge in computers, accessing email, training, and documents via company network.
  • This position will be performed in a clean room production environment which requires certain preparation and gowning practices.
  • Must be able to work overtime as requested.
  • Ability to perform duties in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in the line with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a clean room setting wearing appropriate clean room attires, which includes but is not limited to, jumpsuit, shoe covers, hair covering, and glasses.
  • Complete repetitive movements for extensive periods.
  • Able to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects of up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to stand/seat for long periods of time.
