Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a Motorman, Junior Engineer or Engine Cadet; Third Engineer experience preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced English verbal and writing skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain running machinery as part of an engine room watch team.
• Carry out orders given by the duty engineer in the control room.
• Perform maintenance routines as instructed by the First/Second Engineer.
• Relieve the duty Second Engineer when necessary.
• Be familiar with SMS and AMOS routines and safety procedures.
• Lead the engine crew on watch in proper maintenance and repair.
