Job summary

Altorfer Inc invites applications for the ThinkBIG Internship - Fall 2027 in East Peoria, IL. This paid internship offers a two-year rotation between Illinois Central College and Altorfer branches, earning an Associate in Applied Science while you learn hands-on service technology in a Caterpillar dealer environment.

Participants gain exposure to hydraulics, engine fuel systems, electrical systems, diagnostics, and undercarriage work, with competitive pay at $18.50 per hour and benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Self-starter with good time management and organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs.
• Basic computer skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Rotational two-year curriculum between Illinois Central College (8 weeks) and Altorfer branch (8 weeks) throughout program.
• Assist in Caterpillar Dealer Service Technology tasks under supervision.
