Thin Films Equipment Maintenance Technician - Night Shift - South Portland, ME

Job Overview

Diodes Incorporated is seeking experienced Equipment Technicians interested in night shifts to join our South Portland, Maine facility. This position requires flexibility and the willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, 3 nights on / 3 nights off.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvements in a manufacturing environment.
• Work safely around chemicals, toxic gases, acids, solvents, high voltage, and kinetic energy hazards.
• Complete scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance accurately and safely.
• Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical and electro-pneumatic systems, including servo motors, controllers, vacuum pumps, and pneumatic circuits.

Shift Details

• Night shift offers a 15% shift differential.
• Hours: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, 3 nights on / 3 nights off.
• Initial training may be during daytime hours, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, for up to 52 weeks.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Work within a clean room environment, wearing appropriate protective gear.
• Use of respirators and PPE may be required.
• Stand for up to 75% of shift; lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Potential exposure to hazardous gases, chemicals, and high voltage.

Qualifications

• Safety-minded with ability to follow safety protocols and identify hazards.
• Ability to handle chemicals and gases safely.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and vacuum systems; ability to read schematics and use digital multimeters.
• Semiconductor equipment knowledge preferred, including Applied P5000, Endura, Centura, and CMP tools.
• Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electromechanical Technologies or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours and cross-train in other areas.
