Job summary

Indelco Plastics, part of Flow Control Group, is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter/Fabricator for thermoplastic spool fabrication. You will read drawings, fit and weld spools, and ensure quality and compliance with specifications.

The role requires 2+ years in pipe fitting, experience with infrared, butt, and socket fusion welding, and the ability to work both independently and in a team in a fast-paced shop environment. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pipe fitting and fabrication experience, preferably with thermoplastics (PVC, CPVC, PP, PVDF, HDPE).
• Hands-on experience with infrared, butt, and socket fusion welding equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, spool drawings, and piping specifications.
• Working knowledge of pipe fitting tools, measuring instruments, and shop equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality, code-compliant work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced fabrication shop.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret isometric, spool drawings and work orders to determine layout and assembly requirements.
• Fit, align, and fabricate thermoplastic pipe spools using fusion welding equipment.
• Measure, mark, and cut pipe and fittings to required dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect joints and spools for quality and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain accuracy in documentation including logs and records.
• Operate and maintain fusion equipment with proper calibration and safety.
• Collaborate with engineers, shop management and quality personnel to resolve fit-up issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area per shop standards.
• Support continuous improvement in fabrication quality and throughput.
