Job summary

RTP Company in South Boston, VA is seeking a dedicated extrusion operator for its thermoplastic production line. You will set up and run extrusion machinery, blend materials, and ensure continuous, quality production while adhering to ISO standards and safety procedures.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs, work in a fast-paced environment, and be available for third shift (11pm–7am). Prior forklift and manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start and operate machinery to mix, extrude, discharge, and handle materials according to procedures.
• Weigh ingredients and feed into machinery or ensure correct ingredients are delivered to the work area.
• Monitor production and equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processing issues.
• Document logs, data reports and procedures as required.
• Perform machine cleaning and maintain clean, safe workspace.
