Job summary

RTP Company, headquartered in Winona, Minnesota, is a global compounder of custom engineered thermoplastics. With over 20 manufacturing plants in the US, Mexico, Europe, Singapore and China, the company produces color, conductive, flame retardant and high-performance resins for diverse customers.

The position sets up and operates thermoplastic extrusion equipment to blend, mix, package, and transport materials to produce customer products, on 2nd shift from 3pm to 11pm.

Qualifications

• Preferred high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred forklift experience.
• Preferred previous manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and operate machinery to mix, extrude, discharge, or handle materials according to procedures.
• Weigh ingredients to meet specifications and ensure correct delivery into machinery.
• Monitor production and equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processing issues.
• Examine material visually or physically to ensure conformance with standards.
• Transfer samples to the lab for evaluation and adjust batches as needed.
• Package finished pelletized materials in containers and/or bags.
• Document logs, data reports, and procedures.
