Amcor in Lawrence, KS is seeking a Thermoforming Automation Maintenance Technician to keep automated equipment running safely and efficiently. You will work hands-on with mechanical, electrical, and automation systems supporting packaging and production flow.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, improving equipment performance, and driving reliability within a growing thermoforming operation. The position includes a nightly 7:00pm–7:00am schedule on a 2-2-3 pattern and on-the-job training.

• Proven experience in maintenance or automation maintenance.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with automation systems and manufacturing processes.
• Able to read and interpret technical documentation and equipment information.
• Proficient computer skills for documentation and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily inspections and preventive maintenance on automation equipment.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues.
• Completes repairs and supports automation-focused maintenance projects.
• Identifies improvement opportunities that support equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Ensures automated systems operate safely and meet production and quality standards.
• Handles and packages products according to established procedures.
• Maintains consistent, high-quality output from automated equipment.
• Communicates equipment status, issues, and improvement ideas with maintenance and production teams.
• Supports departmental goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by maintenance leadership.
