Job summary

Amcor is seeking personnel for Thermoforming Automation Maintenance, either Journeyman or Apprentice, to inspect and repair automation equipment. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, parts procurement, and cross-department collaboration in a high-safety environment.

Qualifications

• Hearing and vision requirements to operate in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to lift 45 pounds repeatedly and work in varying temperatures.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to participate in an apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, electrical and mechanical systems on thermoforming automation equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures as specified in the QSI system.
• Complete work assigned by Group Leader or Asst. Group Leader.
• Communicate activities with Group Leader and other members of department.
• Maintain neat and orderly appearance of the shop and automation equipment.
• Obtain parts in emergency cases.
• Assist in other departments as requested by Group Leader or Asst. Group Leader.
• Seek training to stay current with job requirements.
• Assume control of machine when a situation arises which has potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of machine.
