Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled thermodynamics software engineer to advance the engine behind a process simulation platform. You will develop and maintain EOS, phase behavior, and distillation models in C++/Python, collaborating with engineers and domain experts to translate theory into high-performance tools.

You will contribute to model validation, documentation, and ongoing innovation, applying numerical methods to complex electrolyte systems and oil characterization while learning

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a related technical field or 5–10+ years in thermodynamics, process simulation or scientific software development.
• Experience developing scientific software focused on fluid modeling, thermodynamics, or process simulation.
• Hands-on experience with EOS, phase equilibrium calculations, activity coefficient models, property estimation, electrolyte systems, oil characterization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain thermodynamic models and algorithms for process simulation.
• Bridge research methodologies and practical software applications with engineers, domain experts, and product teams.
• Validate models, document software, and support customer needs and ongoing platform innovation.
