Job summary

Northwestern Energy is seeking a Thermal & Wind Generation Plant Engineer responsible for oversight and technical support for generation facilities.

The Engineer will work on capital projects, coordinate contract resources, and ensure safety compliance. Key qualifications include a degree in engineering and experience in thermal power generation.

Competitive salary range of $66,600 to $143,300 with benefits including healthcare and a 401K match.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) and/or Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred.
• Experience in thermal power generation engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance of vendors providing products and services.
• Oversee contract engineering support personnel.
• Ensure compliance with NERC/WECC standards.
• Develop strategic budget recommendations for plant improvements.
