Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a thermal laboratory with knowledge of laboratory safety and housekeeping practices.
• Understanding of CAD tools, CAD models, hand drawings, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with diagnostic/observation equipment (e.g., microscopes, load cells, Instron, drop tower, machine shop equipment).
• Basic knowledge of heat transfer in electrical circuits, including voltage, current, and power measurement methods.
• Ability to write and modify test scripts in languages such as Python or Linux Shell.
• Experience with Google Workspace (Documents, Docs, Drive, Meet, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop thermal test plans and execute experiments in various laboratories.
• Use thermal chambers, thermocouples, thermal meters, and other thermal equipment.
• Design experiments and tools for data collection and reporting.
• Support design engineers by providing feedback and suggestions to improve hardware until it meets quality and reliability standards.
