Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Thermal Engineer with testing and validation experience in electro-mechanical and telecom products to join our San Jose team. This role involves creating test setups, lab prototypes, and conducting thermal and acoustics tests with emphasis on accuracy and documentation.

The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in a related field and has strong communication skills to report findings effectively.

Qualifications

• Laboratory testing experience in electro-mechanical and telecom products.
• Familiarity with telecom test standards such as GR and NEBS.
• Experience as a Thermal Validation Engineer for electro-mechanical products.
• Hardware engineering background.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft tools for report generation.

We are looking for Thermal Engineer who has testing and validation experience in Electro-Mechanical and Telecom products.

Day- to Day Responsibilities

• Prepare test setup, including test flow and test coverage for new product
• Setting up prototypes in the lab for thermal and acoustics tests (Thermocouple installation, wind tunnel operations etc.)

• Good knowledge of telecom test standards GR, NEBS etc.
• Experience working as a Thermal Validation Engineer for electromechanical products
• Hardware engineering experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft products for generating reports and other functional aspects.
• Master’s degree in related field
• Telecom equipment product testing - Power Management, Heat Sink development, Fan speed test etc. is an added advantage
