Overview

General Summary

• Work as part of a large test and engineering systems organization which handles test automation infrastructure, test strategy, test plan development and execution & report management in Power and thermal test areas.
• Role will include daily collaboration with other test engineers and power ecosystem as well as product engineers.
• Use power measurement equipment to collect measurements for system use cases on test platform.
• Test planning and execution of test cases for Power and debugging of SW related issues/problems on all Qualcomm chipset for various HLOS and non-HLOS Subsystems (Android, Windows etc.).
• Execution of functional/features tests for power/thermal SW and power/thermal characterization/optimization.
• Provide test results and characterization/optimization data to cross functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
• Understanding of SW product life cycle and experience with SW test methodologies.
• Systems/HW background with a good understanding of microprocessor architecture and common SoC hardware blocks (Interconnects, Display, Graphics, etc.).
• Experience in any operating systems platform testing (Google Android, Windows phone etc.).
• Analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• High level organization and results documentation.
• Passion for learning and intellectual curiosity.
• Communication and ability to partner with others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be flexible, independent, and self-motivated.
• Operating systems concepts - scheduling, memory management and device drivers is a plus.
• Thermal/Power test experience on any platform is a plus.
• Using debug tools like JTAG debugger, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers is a plus.
• Knowledge of Power and Thermal SW features is a plus.
• Knowledge/experience of embedded systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of Thermal Device Profile is a plus.
• Experience with Ubuntu/Linux server OS and related tools is a plus.
• Development skills in Python, C/C++ is a plus.

Benefits and Compensation

Pay range: $89,000.00 – $133,600.00.
