You will model cooling air systems, simulate transient heating, and collaborate with global teams to improve efficiency and reliability.

This role emphasizes cross-functional design and safety within Siemens Energy's Gas Services team.

Formación

• 5–8+ years of design, development, or operation of turbomachinery.
• Core engineering principles for fluid mechanics and/or heat transfer.
• Experience with numerical simulation and data analysis.
• FMEA risk assessment experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages.
• Strong intercultural collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• 60% Thermal-Fluid System Modeling & Simulation: develop and maintain models for cooling air supply of hot gas-path components in gas turbines.
• Simulate transient heating and thermal expansion to determine optimal clearances.
• Use in-house and commercial software to perform CFD and heat transfer analyses and interpret results.
• 40% Design, Analysis & Improvement: contribute to conceptual and detailed design of gas turbines, especially secondary air systems and clearance design; support improvements using fleet feedback and operational data.
