Vast is seeking a Staff Thermal Engineer in Long Beach, California, to support the development of systems necessary for human-rated space stations.

This full-time position involves developing thermal systems requirements, conducting thermal analyses, and coordinating with various engineering disciplines. Candidates should have extensive experience in thermal analysis and TVAC testing, along with a relevant engineering degree and expertise in thermal control systems.

Exceptional benefits, competitive salary range: $175,480 – $249,096.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of related professional experience or 5 years with a Master's degree.
• Expertise in active thermal control systems.
• Extensive experience with thermal vacuum chamber testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop thermal systems requirements.
• Perform thermal analysis and optimize designs.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Document analyses and designs.
• Review drawings for thermal design hardware.
• Plan and execute subsystem thermal tests.
