Descrizione del lavoro

Technical Solutions Engineer – Data Center Thermal Systems
Location: Remote with 20% travel - North America

We are seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to support the deployment and ongoing operation of integrated thermal systems for prefabricated data center solutions. This individual will serve as a key technical resource for customers and internal teams, with a primary focus on post-commissioning support, troubleshooting, technical issue resolution, and successful deployment of cooling infrastructure.

This is a highly collaborative and customer-facing position that works closely with Engineering, R&D, Product Management, Quality, Field Service, and customers to resolve technical challenges and ensure systems operate reliably in the field.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical, electrical, or data center engineering background and enjoys solving complex technical problems while working directly with customers.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary technical resource supporting integrated thermal systems for prefabricated data center deployments.
  • Provide advanced technical support to customers, field teams, and service organizations through both remote and onsite troubleshooting.
  • Lead technical issue resolution for post-commissioning projects and coordinate activities across Engineering, R&D, Quality, Field Service, and customer teams.
  • Troubleshoot and support cooling infrastructure including chilled-water systems, fluid networks, CDUs, heat-rejection systems, and associated monitoring and control platforms.
  • Support system deployment, startup, commissioning, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), quality activities, and field implementation.
  • Review and interpret electrical diagrams, piping drawings, engineering blueprints, and system architecture documentation to diagnose technical issues.
  • Analyze system performance information and fluid samples to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with R&D and new product development teams on quality engineering discussions and the introduction of new technologies.
  • Support service opportunities associated with deployed data center systems.
  • Coordinate technical stakeholders and provide project oversight throughout issue resolution and deployment activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, lessons learned, and deployment best practices.
  • Mentor team members and contribute technical expertise to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in customer-facing technical discussions and travel onsite when issues require hands-on support.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Center Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical engineering, customer support, field service, applications engineering, or solutions-focused role.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex technical systems and guiding customers or field teams through issue resolution.
  • Strong project coordination and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience reading and interpreting: Electrical diagrams and schematics, Piping drawings, Engineering blueprints, and System architecture documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across engineering, product, service, quality, and customer organizations.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%, primarily to customer locations in Texas and Louisiana.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting data center infrastructure, critical facilities, cooling systems, or critical power environments.
  • Background working with thermal management, fluid systems, HVAC/mechanical systems, or power infrastructure.
  • Hands-on knowledge of one or more of the following Chilled-water systems, Direct Liquid, Cooling (DLC), Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), Fluid networks, Heat-rejection systems, and Data center cooling infrastructure
  • Experience supporting AI, hyperscale, modular, or prefabricated data center deployments.
  • Familiarity with building monitoring systems, BMS platforms, controls, or similar monitoring technologies.
  • Experience with commissioning, startup, FAT, quality engineering, or field deployment activities.
  • Previous experience providing remote technical support for field-deployed equipment or systems.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a customer-facing technical problem solver who can bridge the gap between engineering teams and the customer. They are comfortable digging into drawings and system documentation, troubleshooting difficult mechanical or electrical issues, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and owning technical problems through resolution.

Experience with data center cooling or liquid cooling is highly valuable, but candidates from mission-critical HVAC, thermal systems, mechanical infrastructure, critical power, or other complex engineered environments may also be a strong fit.
