Job summary

Award Staffing is hiring a Thermal Plastics Assembler in Brooklyn Park, MN. The position is a temporary, third-shift role (Sunday-Thursday, 11 PM–7 AM) with potential overtime.

You will assemble, inspect, label, and package products in a cleanroom environment, following GDP and quality procedures. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months of medical manufacturing experience, and ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Six months’ experience in a medical manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and write in English and follow instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform repetitive manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain cleanroom environments, including measurements and cleaning.
• Document activities to demonstrate clean room specifications and GDP compliance.
• Perform general assembly and packaging tasks, inspecting and labeling products.
• Operate up to four auto presses and meet production targets.
• Record parts and enter data into ERP systems as required.

About the Opportunity:

• Job Title: Thermal Plastics Assembler
• Pay Rate Range: $19.50-$22.50/hr
• Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
• Schedule: 3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday 11PM-7AM with some required O/T.
• Position Type: Temporary

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• 6 months’ experience in a medical manufacturing environment.
• Ability to withstand exposure to cleanroom manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and write in English, comprehend and follow work instructions.
• Ability to do basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions and decimals).
• Good manual dexterity and visual ability with attention to detail.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Working overtime when needed.
• Standing, Walking, Kneeling, Bending, Reaching, Pulling, Twisting, Turning, Seeing, Hearing.
• Ability to lift 30lbs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily cleanroom preparations and maintenance include particulate measuring, moping, wiping surfaces and other associated cleaning activities.
• Documenting activities to maintain and demonstrate clean room specifications.
• Ensure training is complete in Quality System and properly documented per GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
• Perform general assembly and secondary production operations Inspecting, labeling and packaging products.
• Operate up to four (4) auto presses at a time; visual inspecting, trimming, labeling and packaging products.
• Meet or exceed production rate and scrap expectations as driven by dispatch and ERP and enter on the hour-by-hour board.
• Track manufactured and rejected parts on the Reconciliation sheet, enter ERP and maintain in Traveler through completion of job/shift following GDP.
• In some cases, they may need to be certified for certification jobs performed on the floor.
• Other duties as assigned.
