Job summary

Award Staffing is seeking a Machine Operator in Brooklyn Park, MN for a weekend shift (Fri-Sun, 5:00 AM-5:30 PM) with mandatory overtime. The position is Temp to Hire with training starting early morning hours and some weekday setup.

Pay is $25.50 per hour and requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate laser, turret, punching, and forming equipment. Candidates should have industrial manufacturing experience, strong math and measurement skills, and basic computer literacy for machine

• Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong math and measurement skills, including caliper use.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.
• Basic computer literacy for machine setup and adjustments.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines with consistency and attention to detail.
• Perform quality checks using calipers and gauges.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Use basic computer programs for machine setup and mild programming.
• Keep area clean, organized, and safe; participate in maintenance.
• Cross-train in other roles to support team productivity.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet production goals.
• Follow safety guidelines and contribute to a safe work culture.

About the Opportunity

• Job Title: Machine Operator
• Pay Rate: $25.50/hr
• Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
• Schedule: Weekend Shift Friday-Sunday 5AM-5:30PM with mandatory overtime.
• Training: 5AM-2:30PM M-TH and Friday 5AM-9AM.
• Position Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong math and measurement (including caliper use) and basic computer skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.
• Basic computer literacy for machine setup and adjustments.
• A strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly — this is physical work.
• Comfortable with established machine processes on equipment like lasers, turret presses, punching and forming machines.
• Mandatory overtime as needed, including Saturdays.
