Job summary

Award Staffing in Minnesota is seeking a Thermal Plastics Assembler to join our 2nd shift in Brooklyn Park. This temp-to-hire role focuses on hands-on assembly, cleanroom readiness, and meeting production targets under GDP-like documentation practices.

You will read and write in English, perform basic arithmetic, use hand tools, and maintain attention to detail while handling parts up to 30 pounds. The position requires good manual dexterity, stamina to stand/walk, and the ability to work on a

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write in English and follow work instructions.
• Ability to do basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions and decimals).
• Good manual dexterity and visual ability with high attention to detail.
• Ability to use hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleanroom preparations and maintenance including particulate measuring, moping, wiping surfaces and other associated cleaning activities.
• Documenting activities to maintain and demonstrate cleanroom specifications.
• Ensure training is complete in Quality System and properly documented per GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
• Perform general assembly and secondary production operations.
• Inspecting, labeling and packaging products.
• Operate up to four auto presses at a time; visual inspecting, trimming, labeling and packaging products.
• Meet or exceed production rate and scrap expectations as driven by dispatch and ERP.
• Track manufactured and rejected parts on the Reconciliation sheet, enter into ERP and maintain in Traveler through completion of job/shift following GDP.
• In some cases, may need to be certified for certification jobs performed on the floor.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the Opportunity:

• Job Title: Thermal Plastics Assembler
• Pay Rate: $18.00-$21.00/Hour
• Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
• Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday-Friday 3PM-11PM with some required O/T
• Position Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Ability to read and write in English, comprehend and follow work instructions
• Ability to do basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions and decimals)
• Good manual dexterity and visual ability with high attention to detail
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Walking is required within the shop areas. Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements.
• Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment.
• Must have dexterity with hands.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner (results oriented); Ability to make decisions with limited information.
