Job summary

Broadcom seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead thermo-mechanical design and validation of high-power enclosure systems for datacenter platforms. You will own lab operations, from concept through production, focusing on liquid cooling and system bring-up.

Responsibilities include collaborating across EE, thermal, compliance, and manufacturing teams, and managing vendor relationships for cooling components. Strong Creo/Windchill skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 8+ years of enclosure design and thermal validation.
• Proficiency in PTC Creo and Windchill PLM (required).
• Strong background in heatsinks, heat pipes, vapor chambers, and liquid cooling.
• Hands-on with thermal measurement tech, sensors and lab instruments.
• Knowledge of datacenter rack standards (EIA-310, OCP).
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC shielding and compliance design considerations.
• Experience with global contract manufacturers and suppliers.
• Experience with high-speed cabling design and routing.

Responsibilities

• Lead thermo-mechanical lab operations, including liquid cooling infrastructure and tests.
• Own thermo-mechanical validation and troubleshoot from concept to production.
• Develop and qualify thermal solutions (heatsinks, vapor chambers, liquid cooling).
• Conduct system-level thermal tests and relate results to simulations.
• Define and execute thermal test plans with documentation.
• Design rack-mount enclosures and components with cross-functional teams.
• Manage vendor relationships for cooling components.
• Troubleshoot thermal issues in high-power prototypes.
