Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design of mechanical parts and assemblies in a cross-functional development group. The role is onsite at Vertiv's Westerville, OH location, with responsibilities including creating 3-D models, drawings, and BOMs, plus prototyping to support product design.

The ideal candidate holds a BSME or related degree, with 2+ years of experience (or 6+ in lieu of a degree).

Qualifications

• BSME or related degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience required with Associate degree; 6+ years may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use a PC and job-related software.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of engineering modeling tools.
• Technical knowledge related to mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Create 3-D models using CAD for mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Create and revise drawings and bill of materials (BOM).
• Interact with employees, vendors and suppliers as needed.
• Build prototypes to support product design development.
• Contribute to design projects and handle simple, tightly scoped tasks with guidance.
• Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
