Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Thermal Lab Test Technician in California to set up, deploy, and maintain thermal test fixtures across environments from 10C to 55C. You will build and modify systems, run cross-functional test plans, and create detailed test reports to drive design decisions.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of BE/Masters work, strong hardware/software troubleshooting, and familiarity with thermocouples, data acquisition, and LabVIEW.

Qualifications

• BE/Masters candidates with 1-2 yrs.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing Hardware and Software
• Understanding of basic thermal measurement methodologies (thermocouple placement, data acquisition)
• Has a previous track record of conducting tests and summarizing data
• Strong drive and attention to detail; able to run repetitive manual tests
• Self-motivated with excellent time management; strong teammate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic machine shop experience and use of hand tools
• Experience with Unix, some scripting (Shell or Python) and LabVIEW is a plus
• Ability to work independently from written instructions
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote
• Able to lift up to 25lbs

Responsibilities

• Setup, deployment, and maintenance of test devices and fixtures
• Build models, disassemble and reassemble systems
• Run software-hardware test plans with cross-functional teams
• Create test reports and summaries
• Develop and implement thermal test methods from design feedback
• Manage lab space and equipment
• Handle prototype hardware per protocols
