Job summary

HCLTech in Santa Clara, CA seeks a Component & Subsystem Lab Test Technician to support engineering development, validation, failure analysis, and lab operations. You will prepare samples, assemble and test hardware, and help with documentation and inventory control.

This hands-on role involves DC, RF, and optical testing, fixture fabrication support, and data reporting to engineering teams. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on laboratory, manufacturing, engineering technician, or test technician experience.
• Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in the field.
• Experience using electrical test equipment such as digital multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Perform EVB assembly and preparation; assemble, modify, and troubleshoot hardware and test setups.
• Solder, rework, and debug simple wiring assemblies and prototypes.
• Support hardware station builds, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Coordinate and track calibration activities for laboratory equipment.
• Generate EVT data rollups and summary reports using existing scripts and tools.
