Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Thermal Lab Supervisor in Columbus, OH, to lead a team of Test Technicians performing design validation testing for the Thermal portfolio. You will oversee lab operations, ensure safety and quality, and collaborate with NPD and Advanced Engineering to plan and execute test setups.

The role requires significant HVAC experience, instrumentation skills, and the ability to develop test plans, perform prototyping, analyze data, and support cross-functional teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree plus 5 years HVAC experience or 8+ years HVAC direct experience.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling License required.
• Proficiency with brazing, piping, basic wiring; 208/230/460V 3-phase wiring.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret test plans.
• Strong planning, documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up test facility and instrumentation per instructions.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop test plans and validation setups.
• Conduct tests, collect/analyze data, and modify units within safety limits.
• Troubleshoot issues and develop workarounds to resolve defects.
• Work with QA/engineering to understand low-level functions of systems.
• Participate in 5S improvement programs and maintain organized lab environment.
