Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer (Senior level possible) in Westerville, OH for onsite testing of thermal management systems. The role involves hands-on lab work with precision cooling equipment and instrumentation, including thermocouples and sensors, plus data‑acquisition activities.

You will work with CRAC units, chillers, and liquid‑cooling gear, coordinating with Test Technicians and design engineers. Senior candidates may provide technical direction and lead tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer.

Responsibilities

• Set up thermal and cooling equipment for performance testing.
• Install and configure instrumentation including thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, and other sensors.
• Operate data acquisition systems and monitor test data.
• Conduct product performance and validation tests.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, thermal, electrical, instrumentation, and test-setup issues.
• Perform instrumentation calibration and validation.
• Collaborate with Test Technicians during testing activities.
• Lead tests and provide technical direction for senior hires.
