Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks a Thermal Hydraulic Test Engineer to advance state-of-the-art testing capabilities for the Naval Nuclear Program. The role involves hands-on instrumentation, test specification, data processing, and analysis in a high-temperature, high-pressure environment.

Candidates should have a related engineering or science degree with 1–2+ years of relevant experience, or a master's with at least 1 year. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or science field and minimum 2 years of relevant experience; or Masters with 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Currently an Intermediate Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on work implementing test instrumentation and apparatus; specify tests, process data, and analyze results.
  • Collaborate with other groups to design test sections and advanced diagnostics for high temperature and high-pressure environments.
  • Ensure testing meets technical and timing needs of end users.
