Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Thermal Engineer to design and verify thermal hardware for lunar landers. You will work on heat transfer systems, cold plates, radiators, and related components, collaborating across teams to ensure robust, testable hardware for spaceflight.

The role emphasizes design, testing, and validation, with opportunities to lead thermal design efforts and apply CFD/FEA to optimize performance in demanding lunar environments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • 3+ years of relevant Thermal Engineering experience.
  • Strong grasp of heat transfer and fluid system fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with heat exchangers, cold plates, radiators, and other spacecraft hardware.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, sizing, building, and testing hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Provide thermal hardware expertise to Lunar vehicle architectures.
  • Contribute to a team developing thermal hardware for lunar landers and drive designs through build, test and verification.
  • Apply technical expertise, leadership, and focus on quality to impact safe human spaceflight.
