  • B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of thermal engineering experience.
  • Expertise in thermal design fundamentals.
  • Experience building and testing thermal hardware.
  • Understanding of aerospace hardware verification and validation processes.
  • Experience managing hardware EBOMs, drawings, and manufacturing artifacts.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with materials, manufacturing, and design teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

To this end, our first MK1 Lunar Lander christened “Endurance” will be the largest and most complex vehicle ever to land on the moon. Our second MK1 will continue humanity’s exploration of the Lunar south pole by delivering NASA’s VIPER rover. NASA recently selected Blue Origin to fly 2 more MK1 landers to deliver Lunar Terrain Vehicles.In this position you will be responsible for passive thermal control components and systems for the MK1 Lunar Lander from conception through integration with the vehicle.
