Job summary

Alloy Enterprises in New Jersey seeks a Thermal-Fluids Simulation Engineer to predict performance of our advanced cooling components. You will work with Solutions and Thermal Design Engineers to optimize designs for demanding customer requirements.

You’ll help develop simulation best practices, learn from our experts, and deliver rapid estimates of thermal performance to accelerate customer-facing projects in a high-velocity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other relevant field.
• 2+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with Siemens SimCenter (required).
• Experience in thermal-fluid simulation and analysis; including but not limited to selecting turbulence closures, running mesh refinement studies, estimating model error, extracting dimensionless correlation coefficients from simulations.
• Experience with a wide range of reference literature on calculating thermal and fluid behavior of components.
• Ability to deliver results in a quickly evolving environment, delivering estimates for thermal performance of a design within a few days to accelerate customer-facing projects.
• Familiarity with design engineering work specifically, an understanding of what an engineering design process looks like and how their work informs that process.

• Perform coupled thermo-fluid simulations using CFD software to predict pressure drop and thermal performance.

Cooling performance limits high-power computing, semiconductor fab, cell networks, photonics, power electronics, and most of our digital world. This role generally requires 4 days onsite per week.

What you’ll do:

As a Thermal-Fluids Simulation Engineer you will use hand calculations and computational tools to predict the performance of Alloy's industry-leading thermal management components. You will work closely with Alloy's Solutions Engineers and Thermal Design Engineers on optimizing designs to meet challenging customer requirements. You will have the opportunity to help develop our simulation best practices and learn from our current simulation experts.

*Pay Range: $85,000-105,000 annually dependent on experience, qualifications, and education level
