Axiom Space is seeking a bold and dynamic Thermal Fluids Section Manager to lead Thermal Analysis and CFD efforts across multiple programs. You will develop staffing strategies, manage budgets, and ensure technical rigor in delivery.

The role requires 8+ years in thermal analysis, 3+ years leading teams, and experience with Thermal Desktop, CFD tools, and scripting in Python/MATLAB. You will mentor engineers and coordinate with program managers and customers.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical or related engineering field.
• 8+ years in thermal analysis, fluid systems, heat transfer and CFD.
• 3+ years in engineering-team leadership and staffing.

Responsibilities

• Lead personnel assignments and priorities across multiple programs in Thermal Analysis and CFD.
• Develop staffing strategies, workforce planning, onboarding, and development.
• Maintain labor forecasts, budgets, and resource estimates for section work.
• Collaborate with program managers and engineers to balance priorities and risks.
• Establish workflows, gates, standards, and documentation for QA and configuration control.
