Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a bold and dynamic Thermal Fluids Section Manager to lead the Thermal Fluids Analysis organization, including thermal analysis and CFD. You will develop people, processes, tools, and standards to support current and future programs, driving technical excellence and workforce development.

You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, manage staffing plans and budgets, and ensure high-quality analysis products meet customer and configuration-management requirements.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, or related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in thermal analysis, fluid systems, heat transfer, CFD, and verification/testing.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams, resource planning, and multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Experience with industry-standard tools: Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT, Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM, MATLAB, Python or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Lead personnel assignments and priorities across multiple programs within Thermal Analysis and CFD.
• Develop staffing strategies, including workforce planning, onboarding, retention, and development.
• Maintain budgets, forecasts, and resource estimates to support program commitments.
• Establish workflows, standards, and review gates to ensure rigor and consistency.
• Mentor Thermal and CFD engineers and communicate performance to upper management.
