Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking a Thermal Engineering Technical Leader to drive design, simulation, validation and production readiness of advanced cooling solutions for high‑performance networking and compute platforms.

You will own CFD-guided modeling, thermal testing, and correlation with hardware design teams, leading cross-functional efforts to define robust liquid and air cooling strategies at scale.

Qualifications

• BS in Material Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering; MS preferred.
• 8+ years in thermal/mechanical design for electronics.
• Direct experience with liquid cooling systems.
• Knowledge of air-cooled solutions and heat transfer materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, simulation, validation and production readiness of thermal solutions.
• Own modeling, simulation, thermal testing, and performance validation workflows.
• Collaborate with suppliers, ODMs and internal teams to evaluate new cooling tech.
• Define design parameters and correlate testing with simulations.
