Job summary

Teradyne's Memory Test Division in Agoura Hills, CA seeks a Thermal Engineer to support thermal architecture, design, analysis, and validation of advanced semiconductor test systems across multiple memory platforms.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, systems, and product engineering teams to develop innovative thermal solutions that meet reliability and temperature-control requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 2–4 years with thermal design, analysis, or product development.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and thermal management principles.
• Experience with CAD tools and engineering documentation practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop thermal management solutions for semiconductor test equipment and subsystems.
• Perform thermal analysis, airflow modeling, and temperature characterization for new products.
• Evaluate cooling technologies and temperature control strategies for electro-mechanical systems.
• Support system-level thermal architecture development and component selection.
• Lead design reviews and provide thermal recommendations to cross-functional teams.
• Conduct laboratory testing, thermal characterization, and validation activities.
