Responsibilities

• Design, manufacture, and deploy the reactor core for the Columbia Class submarine with a focus on thermal performance and hydraulics.
• Perform computer simulations, materials evaluation, and safety analyses.
• Contribute to design reviews, operations support, and assessment of manufacturing procedures and systems.
• Develop improvements in thermal hydraulic methods and design procedures for current and future submarines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional design teams, core manufacturing, and materials/fluids technology groups.
