Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Thermal R&D Engineer to join the Power Solutions team in Valley Green, PA. You will develop thermal models, run CFD simulations, and correlate results with lab data to drive thermal management across our product portfolio.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers, providing design guidance and executing verification tests.

Qualifications

BSME or BSEE degree; master’s preferred.
5+ years CFD and thermal analysis experience.
Familiar with EIA and UL standards.
Strong knowledge of heat transfer and electronics cooling.
Experience with Icepak or FloTHERM is preferred.
Proficient in Creo or SolidWorks for 3D CAD.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate modeling, thermal simulations, and characterization of power products and system architecture.
Correlate simulation results with test data at a certified lab in Valley Green.
Provide design guidance to customers on power applications per their requirements.
Perform design feasibility experiments to assess thermal impact of solutions.
Build technical relationships with customers’ engineering and thermal teams.
Provide world-class technical support to customers.
