Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Valley Green, PA, is seeking a Thermal R&D Engineer to advance thermal management for power solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams and customers to develop advanced cooling solutions and validate designs through CFD modeling and lab correlations.

The role emphasizes deep CFD/thermal expertise, collaboration with design and customer teams, and the use of industry-standard tools to optimize electronics cooling performance.

Qualifications

• BSME or BSEE; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of CFD simulation and thermal analysis experience.
• Familiar with EIA/UL standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate modeling, thermal simulations, and characterization of power products and system architecture
• Correlate simulation results with test data (Certified test lab located at Valley Green facility)
• Provide design guidance and consideration to customers on power applications against their design requirements
• Perform design feasibility experiments and verifications to determine thermal impact of product solutions
• Build technical relationships with our customer's engineering and thermal teams
• Provide world class technical support to our customers
