Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. is seeking a Thermal Engineer Associate for Summer 2027 in Northern California. You will collaborate with the engineering team to design, analyze, build and test satellite hardware and software, focusing on thermal solutions and system integration.

Qualifications

Four-year degree in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent technical field.
Passion for hardware development and hands-on design.
Ability to design, build and test hardware from scratch.
US Citizenship or Green Card required.

Responsibilities

Design, analyze, build, and test satellite hardware and/or software with the engineering team.
Support design trades balancing performance, resources, risk, cost and schedule.
Perform thermal analysis from simplified to detailed on various hardware.
Design, evaluate, procure and test thermal solutions (heaters, heat pipes, TIMs, coatings).
Develop processes for integration and assembly ensuring thermal design intent.
Plan and run thermal vacuum testing and verification at component and spacecraft level.
