Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2 years inpatient hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and delivers basic patient care including hygiene, linen changes, and comfort measures.
• Transfers patients using proper body mechanics and safe handling techniques.
• Documents vital signs and intake/output; records weights.
• Reports changes in condition to nursing or therapy staff.
• Interacts with Therapist and interdisciplinary team for patient care delivery.
• Assists in maintaining gymnasium and patient care environment.
• Assists with admission, discharge and transfers.
• Adheres to infection prevention standards and safety policies.
• Maintains regular attendance and supports department effectiveness.
