Job summary

Mercy South Rehab Hospital is seeking a Therapy Tech to support licensed therapists and assist with nonclinical tasks. This PRN position requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and strong communication. One year of patient care experience preferred.

You will help transport patients, assist with interventions, and work as part of a collaborative team. As part of Mercy's mission and service standards, you'll contribute to patient comfort and safety during transports and care activities,

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: One year of patient care experience preferred.
• Certification/Registration: CPR certification required; able to respond to emergencies.
• Other skills: Excellent communication skills.

Under the direction of the therapist (PT, OT, SLP) or assistant (PTA, OTA), only assists the therapist with therapeutic interventions. The Therapy Services Technician does not provide patient care. Works cooperatively with others as part of a team, recognizes the importance of group goals. Performs designated nonclinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient. Assists with the transportation of patients to and from scheduled therapy appointments as well as other assigned duties. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

• Experience: One year previous patient care experience preferred.
