Job summary

Methodist Rehabilitation in Jackson, MS is seeking a compassionate Therapy Technician to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy team. You will assist licensed therapists, help patients regain mobility and independence, and support a safe, efficient treatment environment.

You will perform patient care tasks, assist with mobility activities, and help prepare equipment while maintaining infection control and accurate documentation in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of therapy technician experience preferred.
• CNA/PCT or similar patient care experience will be considered.
• Previous rehabilitation or inpatient healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks under supervision of licensed therapists.
• Assist therapists with mobility activities and ADLs.
• Prepare, set up, and take down therapy equipment.
• Assist with transportation of patients to therapy sessions.
• Maintain infection prevention procedures and logs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas.

Build a rewarding healthcare career.We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated full-time Therapy Technician to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy team. In this role, you'll work under the direct supervision of licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists to help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence following illness, injury, or surgery.As a valued member of our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, you'll provide hands-on support during therapy sessions while helping maintain a safe, organized, and efficient treatment environment. Your contributions play an important role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.What You'll DoPerform patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist.Assist therapists with patient mobility activities, including:Gait trainingTransfersActivities of daily living (ADLs)Therapeutic exercisesOther rehabilitation activities as directedAssist with patient transportation to and from therapy sessions.Prepare, set up, and take down therapy equipment for patient treatments.Pick up, deliver, organize, and maintain therapy equipment and supplies.Perform wheelchair maintenance and routine equipment inspections.Maintain compliance logs and other departmental documentation as assigned.Follow infection prevention and control procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment.Perform routine cleaning and organization of therapy treatment areas.Demonstrate a positive attitude while providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and coworkers.Support the mission and programs of Methodist Rehabilitation by promoting teamwork, professionalism, and compassionate care.ScheduleFull-time40 hours/weekEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.ExperienceOne year of experience as a Therapy Technician in a healthcare setting is preferred.Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Nursing Assistant, or similar patient care role will also be considered.Previous rehabilitation or inpatient healthcare experience is preferred but not required.SkillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong customer service and teamwork abilities.Ability to safely assist patients with mobility and functional activities.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment.Why Join Us?We value our employees and are committed to supporting their professional growth and well-being.
