Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a Florida driver's license and clean driving record.
• 2 years of experience in Developmental Disabilities.
• Basic knowledge of therapeutic techniques and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• CPR certification may be required.
• 4+ years of experience in Developmental Disabilities (preferred).
• 4 year degree from an accredited school (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and transports clients to medical appointments with Nursing Director, ensuring safety and comfort during transit.
• Perform clerical tasks and document accurately in Therap system.
• Check inventory and ensure residents have adaptive and medical equipment for transportation.
• Assist Physical Therapy with inspecting equipment such as wheelchairs and shower chairs.
• Record residents' weights monthly and share data with the team.
• Notify parents/guardians about upcoming doctor appointments in advance.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow infection-control policies.
