Job summary

The Therapy Team Leader at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Amarillo assists the Director of Therapy Operations in daily management of the therapy team. They supervise therapists assistants and technicians, delegate tasks, and help with staffing, scheduling, orientation, and training to ensure patient treatments are adequately covered.

They maintain ongoing communication with hospital departments to align with patient, staff, and hospital needs while delivering licensed discipline

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Therapy Operations in daily management of the therapy team.
• Delegate and supervise tasks of therapist assistants and technicians.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, orientation, training and communications to ensure patient treatment coverage.
• Maintain open communication with hospital departments to meet patient, staff and hospital needs.
• Provide patient care in licensed discipline 80%–90% of work hours.
• Support staff development and mentoring to improve clinical skills and performance.
